Greetings, NetCaptive here.
I started playing minecraft last October. I setup a small 8 person server for my kids and I to play on. That quickly got boring so we started looking for public servers to play on. One of my kids found Mutt's and I joined the community to check it out and make sure it was a safe and friendly place for my children to hang out. Since then, I've been sucked into playing on Survival and Hardcore mainly, but occasionally on PvP.
I toyed with the idea of applying for Ambassador and working my way up through the ranks, but saw a "Technical/Programmers" option which I think fits me a little better. So, I'm applying for a Technical position because, well... I'm quite technical. I've been a Sys Admin (in real life) for 20+ years working with Servers, Routers, Firewalls, Networks (now you know where the name "NetCaptive" come from), Virtual Machines, Windows, Linux, Mac, and more. Anything computer related (aside from programming itself) I've done at some point in my career. I enjoy overcoming technical challenges, sometimes even more than I enjoy gaming (!!).
I run a successful Voice Server hosting business (TS and Ventrilo) so I can help out with that. I currently run a forum for another game community and have been running forums for years, so i can help out there too. I've also got some experience with IRC (i've been using IRC since 1992... no, I'm not kidding).
I realize asking for "server admin" abilities is probably out of the question, however feel free to grab me if something is busted and you can't fix it and we can talk it through -- I might have some ideas.

do you know Javascript? Net_Creator needs someone to help him with coding for the FTB server
I do not. I can hack away some php, html and write a mean bash or cmd script, but that's the extent of my programming skills.
